Rick was extremely knowledgeable about the local market and made the home buying process an easy and smooth process. We were very impressed with his ability to work with the sellers to help us get the best overall deal possible. We now recommend Rick to all of our friends.

How I make your home search successful:

Having worked with many home buyers and building clients, I have learned how to help my clients prioritize their wishes and how to value those wishes in the current market.  While no one gets everything they want all the time, I can help you get the most in your new home with what you have to spend.  I promise to always listen to you and to help you stay focused on your top priorities. I will find homes for you to see that meet the criteria you want in your new home.  I have several clients that bought the first home I recommended to them, however, it doesn't always happen that way. I will stick with you until we find the right property for you. As a Realtor and the founder of Realty HSV my goal is to act ethically and to represent you, as my client, in your best interest. I recommend that all of my buyer clients adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Get a pre-approval letter from a reputable Bank or Mortgage Company. This gives you guidance on how much you can spend on your new house. It also gives us negotiating power when working with the seller.
  2. Review with me the total costs of acquisition before we start pre-viewing properties and making offers so we are not looking at things you really can't afford.
  3. Let me assist you in prioritizing your wish-list for your new home. Some things can't be added later, while others are easy upgrades. (No matter how pretty that granite counter is, you can't add brick to the exterior later)
  4. Research, research, research! I will find homes that meet your highest priorities and make sure that there are no hidden issues that make cause you heart-ache later.
  5. Always have a home inspection. It will cost you $300-$400 but it could save you thousands and at a minimum will give you peace of mind that you are making a good investment.
